DETROIT (WXYZ) -- What’s floating, spreading all over Facebook, other social media platforms and the news?
It's appears to be a new Facebook challenge, targeting kids. It's being coined the 48 Hour Challenge.
The idea is that kids pretend to go missing for 48 hours, to see how many likes, comments and shares they can accumulate on Facebook.
It seems to have originated from a report out of the UK. According to a published report, a teenager pulled this prank and the parents were petrified.
