KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three University of Missouri-Kansas City student-athletes and one staff member have tested positive for COVID-19.
Seventy Kansas City Athletics student-athletes and staff were tested “in preparation for returning to campus for practice in the fall semester,” according to a news release.
The mandatory testing is part of protocols “guided” by Truman Medical Centers and in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Athletes who tested positive are isolating for at least 10 days or until the individual has been without a fever for 72 hours without medication. To return to campus, they must be cleared by both university medical staff and Kansas City Athletics staff.
