KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Dozens of inmates are in quarantine at the Jackson County Detention Center due to positive COVID-19 cases in the facility.
According to Sheriff Darryl Forté, four inmates and eight non-inmates are positive for the virus.
That has caused another 90 inmates to be in precautionary quarantine.
The sheriff said that safety and security remain a priority for the facility.
