The Dartmouth Atlas Project incluydes more than 300 cities, including five in Missouri — Springfield with a 3.3% growth rate in cases and St. Louis, Columbia, Cape Girardeau and Kansas City, all with a 1.4% growth rate.

The following Kansas cities also are on the list:

Growth rates are determined using the number of reported COVID-19 cases “in each of the 306 United States Hospital Referral Regions” based on data from individual counties “made available by the New York Times,” according to the Dartmouth Atlas Project.
