LEAWOOD, Kan. — A fire truck led a parade of friends and family, all honking and waving, to wish a 94-year-old Leawood grandmother a happy birthday.
Jean Tobin said the social distancing celebration took her by surprise.
"I was shocked. I'm still shocked,” she said. “I just want to thank all of them, it's....yes, unforgettable is right.”
Tobin isn’t alone in celebrating a birthday in this fashion. On Saturday, a 102-year-old World War II veteran received the same gift.
