Johnson County government orders schools closed through April 5

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — All Johnson County Schools are now required to close through April 5.

Johnson County government officials announced Monday night that its public health officer Dr. Joseph LeMaster signed an order to close the schools to “help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community.”

The closures affect Blue Valley Schools, Olathe Public Schools, Shawnee Mission School District, Spring Hill School District, Unified School District No. 232 and Gardner Edgerton School District USD 231.
