KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas State University released additional guidelines Tuesday on when face masks should be worn on university property.

K-State said it will require students, faculty, staff and visitors to wear masks or other face coverings on the majority of university property, effective immediately.

The coverings must cover the mouth and nose, K-State said, and be worn in all hallways, public spaces, classrooms and other common areas of campus buildings.

Masks will also be required wherever people are unable to maintain social distance of 6 feet, including in offices and outdoors.

The university said it will also require all students and employees to complete a COVID-19 and face mask safety training.

Anyone who fails to comply with the new policies could be denied access to some areas or activities, K-State said.

Those with ADA concerns related to face masks should contact the university’s coordinator.
