University of Kansas Health System daily update

The University of Kansas Health System has 54 patients with active COVID-19 infections. Of those, 11 are in the ICU and nine are on ventilators. Another 51 patients are in the recovery phases of COVID-19 and nine of those are on ventilators, totaling 105 virus patients.

Doctors discussed updates on the COVID-19 vaccine and answered questions about the process.

They also talked about the need for patients to continue to get cancer screenings during the pandemic so cancer outcomes are not deadly.

Kansas group launches website to help small businesses during pandemic

The Kansas Small Business Development Center at the Johnson County Community College launched a website to answer questions and give advice relating to surviving the pandemic for local businesses.
