KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Public Library closed its Trails West Branch after a staff member reported a likely exposure to COVID-19.

The library said the staff member last worked at the branch, located at 11401 E. 23rd St. in Independence, on Saturday, Dec. 5.

The branch closed Monday. It will reopen once library staff can complete contact tracing and a cleaning crew can sanitize the space.

The library still will offer WiFi outside the branch in the parking lot.
