KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Officials at the Kansas Speedway announced Thursday that the May 30-31 race weekend has been postponed.

A release said officials are hopeful of rescheduling the race to a later date.

Local, state and federal efforts to limit the spread of the coronavirus left track officials in the situation to cancel the race.

“First, I’d like to thank our fans for sticking with us during this time with so much being unknown for the past couple of months,” Kansas Speedway President Patrick Warren said in a release. “NASCAR is working extremely hard on a schedule for the remainder of the year and I look forward to seeing cars back on track very soon.”

Ticket other track information is available on the Kansas Speedway website.
