KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri, Public Library plans to close all of its physical locations between Dec. 24 and Jan. 3. due to an anticipated increase in the number of COVID-19 cases associated with the holidays.
“We know services at our physical locations will be missed,” KC Library executive director John Herron said Tuesday in a release. “But we feel strongly that this extended pause is best for our community as we work together to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We encourage patrons to lean even more during this time on our digital offerings, which have been significantly expanded and upgraded over the past nine months.”
The library will continue to offer digital services, which includes access to ebooks, audiobooks and other digital resources.
More information about the library’s services is available on the library’s website.
