Know when, how you’ll get the COVID-19 vaccine

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri and Kansas have both put together the plans on which groups of people should receive the COVID-19 vaccine and when.

For people in the different groups, knowing when they should get the vaccine may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction:

Jackson County
The Jackson County Health Department has established a COVID-19 Vaccine Survey. Once residents enter their information, the department will notify residents when it's their turn to receive the vaccine.

Kansas City, Missouri
The Kansas City, Missouri, Health Department has established a COVID-19 Vaccine Survey. Once residents enter their information, the department will notify residents when it's their turn to receive the vaccine.

Independence
The city of Independence, which restarted its municipal health department late last year, has yet to announce an Independence-specific vaccine distribution plan, but a spokesperson said those details will be widely disseminated when they are available.

For now, Independence residents are encouraged to sign up through the Jackson County Health Department or consult their family physician. (See link to the Jackson County Health Department survey above.)

Clay County
The Clay County Public Health Center has an online form, which the public can fill out for those interested in getting vaccinated. Clay County stressed that this is not a registration form, but has been set up to allow people to receive information about when they are eligible and how to register in the future.

Platte County
The Platte County Health Department has established a COVID-19 Vaccine Survey. Once residents enter their information, the department will notify residents when it's their turn to receive the vaccine.

Cass County
The Cass County Health Department has established a COVID-19 Vaccine Survey. Once residents enter their information, the department will notify residents when it's their turn to receive the vaccine.

Johnson County, Kansas
The Johnson County, Kansas, Department of Health and Environment established a sign-up survey for those eligible to receive the vaccine in the current distribution phase. More information is available on the JCDHE's website.

Wyandotte County
The Wyandotte County Health Department has established a COVID-19 survey. Once residents enter their information, the department will notify residents when it's their turn to receive the vaccine.

Leavenworth County
The Leavenworth County Health Department doesn't currently have a sign-up sheet for the general public, according to a Jan. 5, 2021, update.

Miami County
The Miami County Health Department has established a COVID-19 survey for health care practices and organizations. There isn't a sign-up form yet for the general public.
