KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Lansing, Kansas, is prohibiting public access to city buildings beginning Monday.
The reason for the closure is the rising cases of COVID-19 in Leavenworth County, according to Lansing officials.
It is not clear yet how long the public will lose access. The city will assess virus data to know when it is safe to return.
The building affected includes Lansing City Hall, Lansing Community Center, Lansing Municipal Building, Lansing Community Library, Lansing Activity Center and the parks and recreation offices.
City staff will still be available to the public via phone or email.
