KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Residents in Johnson County, Kansas, are set to start phase one of their reopening plan on May 11.

The Johnson County Library system said Monday they won’t be re-opening branches as part of the May 11 date.

In a release, the library said many services will continue to be available, including eLibrary, access to librarians and online programs and events.

Library leaders are working to finish a plan that would allow a phased-in approach to reopening branch locations.

The library plans to release more information about its plan later this week.
