KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Gov. Mike Parson will give an update on Wednesday afternoon on COVID-19 operations in the state.

Parson will be joined by Department of Health and Senior Services Director Dr. Randall Williams.

Earlier Wednesday, Parson’s office announced that six Missouri food banks, including Harvesters Community Food Network in the Kansas City metro, will receive a combined $5 million in federal CARES Act funding.

Missouri has reported more than 167,000 COVID-19 cases statewide since the beginning of the pandemic, including more than 2,700 deaths, according to the 41 Action News COVID-19 case tracker.
