KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Gov. Mike Parson is giving his daily update on COVID-19 in the state.

The number of novel coronavirus cases surpassed 1,000 in Missouri earlier this week.

There are now 1,582 cases in Missouri, and 505 cases in the greater Kansas City area.
