KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, Missouri announced Monday it is suspending all masses.
In an announcement posted on its website, the diocese said “public celebrations of the liturgy will cease.” The diocese churches will remain open for personal or household prayer, devotions and confessions.
The announcement recommends that weddings scheduled in April be rescheduled. Funerals will continue, but only with the minister and immediate family members.
Additional information about the announcement is available on the diocese’s website.
