MCPL East Lee's Summit branch closes after staffer tests positive for COVID-19

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Mid-Continent Public Library's East Lee's Summit Branch closed Sunday following a staff member testing positive for coronavirus.

Staff are working to notify customers they are able to identify who were in the branch between Oct. 4 and 8, according to a news release.

Additionally, staff members who were potentially exposed are being "closely monitored before returning the work," the release stated.

A deep cleaning will occur while the branch is closed.

A reopening date has not yet been set.
