KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Riverboat casinos in Missouri will remain closed through May 15, according to the Missouri Gaming Commission.
The commission announced the extension of a temporary closure that began March 17 on Wednesday in a press release.
There are four casinos in the Kansas City area affected by the commission's decision — Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City, Argosy Casino Hotel and Space, Harrah’s Casino and Hotel and Isle of Capri Casino.
Missouri Gov. Mike Parson and Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly both ordered casinos closed throughout the state as part of their efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19.
