KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A new partnership is expected to increase access to COVID-19 vaccines for Missouri seniors, according to Missouri Gov. Mike Parson.

Mike Parson announced Friday that the state now is working with Missouri’s Area Agencies on Aging “to ensure seniors can have a greamlined and accessible vaccination experience.”

Local AAA agencies can assist with registering to be vaccinated, coordinating transportation and reminders for the second dose of the vaccine.

However, AAA cannot help residents receive vaccines faster, according to the Missouri COVID-19 vaccination website.

Seniors in the Kansas City area can contact the Mid-America Regional Council AAA at 1-800-593-7948.
