KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A student-athlete at Piper USD 203 has tested positive for COVID-19.
Athletics and Activities Director Doug Key said Saturday in a statement on the Piper USD 203 Facebook page that the student is “doing fine and stopped coming to summer activities more than one week ago when symptoms first appeared.”
There was no crossover between the team the student plays for and “any other activities,” according to Key.
“Precautionary measures have been taken with athletes that were in direct contact with this student,” Key said in the post. “At this time, outdoor activities will proceed as planned and we will continue to use extreme precautions for indoor activities.”
