KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Raytown middle and high school students will continue with virtual learning until at least January.

The school board voted unanimously Monday night that middle and high school students will remain virtual the rest of the semester, but pre-K and elementary students will still return to in-person classes on Oct. 26.

The Herndon Career Center students will return on an A-B hybrid schedule twice a week also on Oct. 26.

The board had previously voted not to let secondary students stay in virtual learning.

The decision comes as COVID-19 cases soar in the Kansas City area.
