KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Roads are closed in Swope and Blue Valley parks in Kansas City, Missouri, to make it easier for park patrons to enjoy fresh air and sunshine.

Barricades were placed Friday in both parks, according to a Parks and Recreation Department news release.

People are urged to walk counterclockwise on loop trails in all of the city's parks as part of the effort to make social distancing easier.

The city has more than 200 parks and 130 loop trails.

The parks department has links to information on which streets are closed in Blue Valley and Swope parks.
