The State of Missouri recruits medical personnel to help with COVID-19 response

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The State of Missouri is calling on all medical personnel for help across the state.

The Department of Health and Seniors Services, the State Management Agency and the Department of Economic Development are teaming up to recruit medical professionals not currently part of the workforce to join the Missouri Disaster Medical Assistance Team.

According to Governor Mike Parson, that team will be deployed with mobile medical facilities to assist in high need areas of the state or in traditional health care settings.

Members of the team would have backgrounds in the fields of:

  • Medicine
  • Nursing
  • Allied Health
  • Dentistry
  • Biomedicine
  • Laboratory Science
  • Logistics
  • Communications

Individuals are asked to consider this opportunity even if they are a health care student or graduate, a retiree of the health care workforce or have a recently expired professional registration.
