KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The University of Missouri—Kansas City welcomed students back to campus on Monday.

Many changes were made over the summer to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

The university has downsized classes and now requires regular sanitation of areas on campus. The school also is finding ways to help students and staff keep up with the safe practices.

“One of the things we’ve done is provide a welcome-back kit to all of our students as well as our faculty and staff that have disposable wipes and hand sanitizer in it,” said Michael Graves, director of facilities operations. “We want to keep you safe and partner with you and have a great semester.”

The university also has asked students and staff to self-monitor for any COVID-19 symptoms.
