KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Members of one Kansas City area church provided food to community members who needed it most.
United Believers Community Church gave out the items, donated by Harvesters, to people who waited in lines that were up to one mile long on Wednesday morning.
Pastor Darron Edwards said he wanted to help his community as much as possible.
“This is a way of reaching out to our community, reaching out to our members and just to see a few of them come through today has done my heart really good,” Edwards said.
Church goers said they miss attending services, and seeing people in the community, even just for a small amount of time, was meaningful.
