KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri, Police department responded to an overnight crash that resulted in the death of a driver.
The crash occurred around 12:52 a.m. Saturday on East Red Bridge Road near Harrison Street.
A blue Nissan Altima was driving west on East Red Bridge Road when it struck a white Ford F-450 boom truck that was parked, per KCPD's preliminary investigation.
KCPD said the boom truck's emergency lights were on and it had orange traffic cones around it.
The Nissan's driver was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
