24-year-old Warsaw man killed in Saturday night shooting

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 24-year-old man from Warsaw, Missouri, was shot and killed Saturday night in Clinton, Missouri.

According to a social media post from the Clinton Police Department, officers were dispatched at 8:42 p.m. on a shooting in the 500 block of South Carter Street.

Upon arrival, police found a man — Jonathan J. Nahrstedt, 24 — suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures and he was transported to GOlden Valley Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A 21-year-old Clinton man was arrested at the scene and was being held in Henry County Jail as investigators spoke with witnesses and examined evidence.

The man has yet to be charged with a crime, so 41 Action News isn’t naming him.
