A mask-wearing man tried to rob a bank Friday, but his yelling didn't get him money

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- The FBI is investigating an attempted bank robbery that took place Friday afternoon.

 

Officials said the suspect entered the Arvest Bank at 4340 Noland Rd. around 1:30 p.m., without a weapon and yelled at bank employees to hand over money. They refused.  

 

The robber left the bank through the west door.

 

Witnesses were unable to identify his race. The suspect is a man, around 6 feet tall, was wearing a mask, gloves, dark hoodie and printed bandana.
