Dustin Maynard has been sentenced to life in prison following his conviction of first degree murder.
On Oct. 27, Maynard entered a guilty plea in connection to the Oct. 30, 2013 murder of Jordan MacDonald.
MacDonald, 21, was killed at 8515 Ottawa Street in De Soto, Kan.
Investigators say he was stabbed and strangled to death.
His body, which was discovered near Maynard's apartment, was partially burned.
Maynard is eligible for parole in 25 years.
