Husband, wife arrested during traffic stop

A husband and wife were arrested Saturday night by a Jackson County, Kan. Sheriff's deputy after drugs, cash and identification and financial cards were discovered during a traffic stop.

Carrie Roberts, 36, and Gregory Wright, 48, were taken into custody during the stop. 

They were arrested Saturday at 9:30 p.m. just off of US Highway 75 and Banner Street. 

Roberts has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, three counts of possession of mislaid property, driving while suspended, no insurance and transporting an open container.

Wright faces a possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia charge, along with three counts of possession of mislaid property.

Both are from St. Joseph, Mo. 

Local investigators are working with authorities in Missouri on the investigation.
