KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Former Kansas State University men’s basketball player Amaad Wainright pleaded guilty to a felony charge of obstructing prosecution or apprehension Tuesday in Johnson County, Kansas.

Wainright was arrested in April by the U.S. Marshals for his role in a road rage incident in January 2018 in Overland Park.

As part of Tuesday’s plea, a second charge of felony eluding a police officer was dismissed by prosecutors.

Wainright’s sentencing is set for Oct. 24.
