Independence police investigate overnight homicide on East 20th

UPDATE, Feb. 11 | The victim was identified as 41-year-old Nathan L. Looker of Independence. Police are not looking for anyone else involved in the case.

ORIGINAL STORY, Feb. 9 | Independence police are investigating an overnight homicide.

Police said officers were called to a home in the 11200 block of East 20th Street South just before 1:30 a.m. on a reported disturbance.

When they got there, they found a man dead inside.
