KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Independence police are investigating a homicide at a QuikTrip Friday evening.
Independence police say officers received reports of shots fired near I-70 and Noland Road at about 9 p.m. Friday. Shortly after, another shots-fired call came in from US 40 Highway and Sterling.
Officers found the victim dead behind the QuikTrip hear 40 Highway and Sterling.
