A Kansas City man has been charged in a December 2015 deadly shooting.
Brandon Johnson, 29, faces second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges.
On December 6, 2015, officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of East 85th Street on a shooting. When they arrived, they found Marlon Hill, 29, on the ground with bullet wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
According to court documents, Hill had been at his girlfriend’s residence before the shooting. Johnson went to the apartment to visit.
Later, Hill and his girlfriend got into an argument, and she told Hill to leave. Witnesses said Hill and his girlfriend walked outside and continued to argue, according to court records.
Witnesses told police Johnson went out of the residence with a gun and started to argue with Hill. During the argument, Johnson pointed a gun at Hill, then shot him and fled the scene, according to court documents.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $300,000 cash.
