A murder investigation on Tuesday led to the victim's friend being charged with spraying gunfire in a southeast Kansas City, Missouri, apartment.
Detectives went to an apartment complex looking for information about the murder of 29-year-old Alvino Crawford. Crawford died from a gunshot wounds at East 83rd and Campbell Street. Officers found his body at around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
At the apartment, a woman told police that Crawford, two other men and a woman came to 8247 Forest to confront a woman who lived there.
While the men were there, one of the men, Jerome Walker, allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired into an apartment, according to court documents. Walker put the gun back in his pants and left.
He later told at least one person that he fired the shots into the apartment to scare a woman.
Walker is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
