KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The pilot of an experimental aircraft escaped without serious injury Friday afternoon after landing the plane on Quivira Road.
First responders received a call just after 4:30 p.m. on reports of an aircraft emergency near W. 199th Street and Quivira Road in Overland Park.
Crews arrived to find the plane had landed on Quivira Road.
It was not immediately clear what caused the pilot to make the emergency landing.
