Police locate 3 of 4 people wanted in shooting that injured 9-year-old girl

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Independence Police Department said Sunday evening they have located three of the four people of interest in a shooting that left a nine-year-old girl critically injured.

Police say the have located 28-year old Ronald R. Wessley, 23-year old Hope L. Williams and a third unidentified person of interest.

They have also located the black Dodge Durango which they say the individuals were in.

Police are still searching for the fourth unidentified person of interest.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the fourth person of interest are asked to call 816-474-TIPS or Independence Police at 816-325-7777.

The search for the four began after a Friday night shooting at Italiano Ristorante, located a block west of Sterling Avenue on U.S. 40 in Independence.

The 9-year-old girl was riding in one of the vehicles involved in the exchange of gunfire.
