Raytown PD chase leaves three hospitalized

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A vehicle fleeing Raytown police was involved in a crash a few blocks after the pursuit began that left three people hospitalized.

According to a release from the Raytown Police Department, the pursuit started shortly after 6 p.m. as officers gave chase to an occupied stolen vehicle near 59th Street and Raytown Trafficway.

The suspect vehicle crashed into two other vehicles a little more than 1 1/2 miles away in the intersection at Blue Ridge Cutoff and Raytown Road.

Three people in the two vehicles that weren’t involved in the chase were transported to local hospitals with injuries, including one person with serious injuries.

Two suspects were arrested at the scene and charges are pending.

An investigation into the incident is underway and anyone with information is asked to call 816-474-TIPS (8477).
