Road rage gunfire after traffic crash in Oak Grove

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Oak Grove police officers sent to check out the sound of gunfire Monday found a wreck and a bullet-damaged vehicle.

A news release posted on the city's website states several 911 calls came in about 3 p.m. 

Callers said they heard gunshots near Southwest 13th and South Broadway streets.

Officers got to the scene and spotted the crash and a vehicle with a bullet hole in a window, the release states.

Officers found a man there who told them someone shot at his vehicle, the release states.

Police said another vehicle came back to the scene after the crash and gunfire.

No one was hurt, according to the release.

The incident was blamed on road rage and the police investigation continued Monday night.
