Saturday death deemed homicide, investigation underway

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri, police ruled a weekend death a homicide and are investigating how the victim died.

According to police, on Nov. 7, they were called to 12th Street and Cleveland Avenue around 7 p.m. for a medical call.

Officers found a man unresponsive. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

KCPD said the cause of death was initially unclear, but now attributes it to injuries and have ruled it a homicide.

The victim was identified as 39-year-old Rodolfo Ibarra.

Investigators are still working to uncover the circumstances.
