Neighbors report hearing shots fired Saturday night, but apparently nobody reported it - until a body was discovered in a park Sunday morning.
Police were called to 44th and S. Benton just before 9 a.m. Sunday, reporting a man was on the basketball court.
Officers responded and declared the man dead shortly after the call.
"We're so used to it around here, that I don't think anybody called police," said Pat Clark, a neighbor in the area. "I know I didn't."
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Kari Thompson says they're working to gather information on the possible shots fired last night, and asks anyone with information to call police.
Police have not yet identified the victim. The investigation continues.
