KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man failed in his attempt to steal a car in KCK and his would-be victims held him down until police arrived.
The incident happened at 7:45 p.m. Saturday in the 3000 block of Everett Avenue.
Police said several people in a residence heard their vehicle start.
They spotted the suspect trying to back out of the driveway.
The man was forced to stop the car, but got out and punched one person.
That victim suffered serious injuries, police said.
No other injuries were reported.
