Woman faces 2nd-degree murder charge in Jackson County homicide

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman faces second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges after a shooting victim was dropped off at a Jackson County fire station Friday night.

Sarah Devera was charged Sunday in connection with crime, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Devera was taken into custody Saturday after surrendering to law enforcement.

The shooting victim, who has not yet been identified, was dropped off at the Inter City Fire Department station.

At the time, authorities were searching for a woman who dropped off the victim.
