KANSAS CITY, Mo. - In a video that’s gone viral, a Salt Lake City nurse refused to let a police detective draw blood from an unconscious patient without a warrant. The nurse said the detective then assaulted and illegally arrested her for doing her job.
Sally Ellis Fletcher, Associate Dean for Students at the UMKC School of Nursing and Health Studies, said the nurse did what was appropriate.
