How to register to vote in Kansas, Missouri

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas and Missouri state primary elections are Aug. 4. The general election for federal and state races will be held Nov. 3.

In Missouri, you can register to vote online, by mail or in person. Oct. 7 is the last day to register in Missouri in order to participate in the 2020 general election.

To register to vote in Kansas online, applicants must have a valid Kansas driver's license or non-driver's identification card. Those without either form of ID can fill out a paper registration and send it to their county election officer.

Several organizations and sports stars are pushing to get Kansas City area residents registered.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and safety Tyrann Mathieu are leading the charge to get people ready for the upcoming elections. Mahomes also joined forces with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James on James’ project, “More Than A Vote.”
