Nobody will ever mistake me for a ballerina. The fact is my tutu needs to be a four-four.
But, for Motivation Monday, it was all about bellying up to the bar!
The Bar Method, which is based on ballet, was brought to Kansas City from San Francisco by a vibrant, upbeat woman named Hoddy Potter.

In December, Hoddy passed away from lymphoma.
Her best friend, Lizzy Rudd, has made it her personal mission to keep the business of fitness alive in honor of her friend.
From arabesque to planking to diamond thigh, it is all about graceful movement that tones and trains the body.
According to Lizzy, this is a safe, therapeutic exercise regimen that is good for all ages and can be focused on particular needs and desires.

It is busy every day at both locations. Something that makes Lizzy happy as she remembers her best friend and inspiration, Hoddy.
Another way of remembering Hoddy, is the Bar Method’s official sponsorship role for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night walk on September 30.
Because Hoddy loved music and dance, there will be a concert following the walk called “Hoddy Potter Light the Late Night!”
So, get on your tip toes and take this challenging bar exam! It is a wonderful intersection of hope and health.
