UPDATE, Nov. 5 | The victim was identified as 88-year-old Leo F. Behee of Lee's Summit.

ORIGINAL STORY, Nov. 4 | One man has died following a crash Wednesday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri.

Crews responded around 1:45 p.m. to a reported rollover at Interstate 670 westbound at Locust Street in the downtown area.

The driver of a Hyundai Accent on the ramp from northbound U.S. 71 to westbound Interstate 670 "apparently lost control," according to the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department.

The Hyundai exited the roadway, crossed a grassy area and reentered in westbound traffic lanes, where a GMC Yukon struck it.

The driver of the Hyundai was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Two women and one child in the GMC did not suffer any injuries, police said.

The crash closed portions of the downtown loop.
