KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Missouri, man is dead and three kids seriously injured after a head-on crash in Clinton County.
According to Missouri Highway Patrol, 48-year old Scott Ford was traveling south onto Northbound I-35 from the exit ramp at the 40 mile marker when he struck a northbound vehicle head-on just after midnight on New Year's Day.
Ford was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three children ages 3 to 14-years-old were in the other vehicle and suffered serious injuries.
The driver of that vehicle was not hurt.
Another crash happened when a third vehicle heading northbound struck the two vehicles after the fatal crash. That driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Cameron Regional.
