KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was killed in a head-on crash in Miami County, Kansas, Wednesday night.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1990 Mazda was westbound on Kansas 68, just west of Paola, when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a semi head-on.
Troopers have not determined why the vehicle crossed into the other lane.
The driver of the Mazda was killed in the crash. He has been identified as 22-year-old Dalis M. Palmer of Osawatomie. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
